Alexander Yau, an eminent young Australian concert pianist, has developed himself into a versatile musician incorporating his many musical talents as a chamber musician, conductor, composer and music arranger. Pianist Balazs Szokolay describes "his artistic taste is good enough not to make any kind of "show" even in the most brilliant parts of great masterworks". He completed his Bachelor of Music piano performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney, with first class Honours, studying under Elizabeth Powell and Daniel Herscovitch. He then graduated his masters degree at the Juilliard School under prof. Matti Raekallio.
He has been awarded numerous prizes such as 6th Prize at the Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition, 3rd Prize at the Teresa Carreno International Masters Piano Competition and special prizes at the Australian International Chopin Piano Competition as well as winner of the Sydney Kawai Piano Scholarship, major prize winner of the Australian National Piano Award and the Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition. He has worked with renowned pianists as Leif Ove Andsnes, Stephen Hough, Marc-Andre Hamelin, Balazs Szokolay, Jerome Lowenthal, Bernd Goetzke and Arie Vardi in masterclasses, instrumentalists Joel Smirnoff and Eberhard Feltz, and collaborated with conductors such as Jeffery Milarsky, Carlo Monatanero, Michelangelo Mazza, Daniel Carter, Rory McDonald, Brian Castles-Onion AM and Sir Richard Gill.
His major concerto appearances as soloist include the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in Rachmaninoff's Concerto no.3, the Queensland Symphony Orchestra in Rachmaninoff's Concerto no. 1 and a major Australian tour with the SBS Youth Orchestra in Rachmaninov's Concerto no. 2 and the Sydney Conservatorium Orchestra in Brahms' Piano Concerto no. 2 with Eduardo Diazmunoz at the Conservatory Gala Concert to huge reception. In 2020, he founded the Ole Bohn Chamber Orchestra and conducted Mozart's Concerto no. 23 from the piano. He has been invited to perform in the Canberra International Music Festival, Tanglewood Festival, FOCUS Festival in Lincoln Centre, and appeared in venues such as Phoenix Central Park and City Recital Hall in Sydney, Troldhaugen (Grieg's home) in Bergen, Villa Reale in Italy, Alice Tully Hall in NYC, Yamaha Ginza in Tokyo, Rexxam Hall in Takamatsu, Australian Pavilion at Shanghai Expo. In 2022 he released his first album in collaboration with clarinettist Deborah de Graff recorded by the ABC Classics, which also features his own composition. He is currently a casual lecturer in collaborative piano at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
His recent solo recital engagements include Rachmaninov Recital at the Rachmaninov 150th Anniversary Concert at the Sydney Conservatorium, Schubert Recital at the Sydney Schubert Society; chamber music engagements include the complete cello and piano works of Chopin at the Friends of Chopin Australia, Piano Quintets by Franck and Schumann at the Sydney Conservatorium Staff concerts and Sydney Symphony Fellows Concerts respectively. He has served as a jury member for the Sydney Eisteddfod Piano Competitions and he is invited to be on jury for the International Grand Music Festival held in Indonesia in 2024. |

Annie Burbank was born and raised in Sydney, Australia. She studied piano from a young age with Bruce Rixon and the higher levels with Miss Eunice Gardiner, earning the Licentiate diploma in Piano Performance from the Trinity College of London in 1985. Annie completed the Bachelor of Music degree from The University of Sydney in 1988, including composition under Peter Sculthorpe and Dr Eric Gross. She has been composing since she was a child, and has continued to write largely for piano, but also for a variety of instrumental and vocal combinations. Annie is an avid arranger, and loves to reimagine classic tunes on the piano, as well as arranging for choir and other ensembles. Annie has been a working musician for over three decades, performing piano at hotels and restaurants in Australia and overseas, and is currently the resident pianist at the Hydro Majestic Hotel and Echoes Restaurant in the upper Blue Mountains. She has also been teaching for many years privately, as a regional conservatorium staff member, and as a high school music teacher. While teaching, performing and livestreaming weekly, Annie continues to create remarkable and lush pieces for piano and other instruments, at a variety of performance levels. Natalia Melnik was born in Moscow and moved to Sydney in 2013. She is currently conducting her doctorate research at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, aiming to make Russian vocal music more accessible for non-Russian-speaking singers. Natalia worked as a Russian lyric diction coach with AIM, the Sydney Conservatorium Choir, the Sydney Art Song Society and numerous individual singers. Natalia is the founder of the "Russian For Singers" project that helps hundreds of singers from around the world explore Russian vocal music.
In 2017-2019, Natalia sang the roles of Valeria in Alessandro Scarlatti's "La Caduta De' Decemviri", Marcella in "Boheme a piacere", Princess Tamara in the play "Demon", Clara Schumann in the "Happy Birthday, Clara!" concert program. During 2021-2023, Natalia created and performed a number of concert programs, including "Love Songs" (2021), "Made in Heaven" (2022) and "Rejoice!" (2023). Natalia's recordings are available on Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming platforms.
John Martin has become celebrated as a sensitive and entertaining performer, in a colourful career of great variety. As pianist and Music Director, John has worked with many stars, including David Hobson, Marina Prior, Mark Vincent, The Australian Tenors, Deborah de Graaff, Vov Dylan, Teddy Tahu Rhodes, Amelia Farrugia, Jane Rutter, Yvonne Kenny, Greta Bradman, Geoffrey Chard, Miriam Margolyes and Composer, Ann Carr Boyd. John was the department store pianist in Bruce Beresford's movie "Ladies in Black". |

| Director of Music at Brisbane's Cathedral of St Stephen, CHRISTOPHER TRIKILIS is widely respected as one of Australia's leading organists and church musicians. Commencing piano lessons at a young age, he completed music studies at the University of Melbourne studying with John Mallinson (organ) and Mark McGee (piano) while also being Organ Scholar at St Patrick's Cathedral Melbourne. Maintaining an active performance schedule both as soloist and accompanist, Christopher has performed extensively across Australia, New Zealand, Europe and North America. He is a Director of the Organ Historical Trust of Australia, and is also responsible for the installation of pipe organs, and conservation projects in recent years in a number of churches. His playing has featured on the national broadcasters of Australia (ABC) and Croatia (HRT), alongside CD and DVD recordings. Previous organ posts have been at Melbourne's iconic Basilica of Our Lady of Victories in Camberwell, St Patrick's Church in Mentone (with its heritage-listed 1862 Nicholson organ), and as music tutor to Corpus Christi Seminary in Carlton.
