As part of History Week 2007, the Hunter District Organ Music Society is sponsoring a visit to three important historic organs in the Newcastle area. At each venue there will be a short demonstration of the organ, followed by an opportunity to inspect the organ at close quarters.
The program for the day is:
1 pm: St. John's Anglican Church, Cnr Darby & Parry Streets, Cooks Hill. (J. W. Walker, 1866).
2 pm: St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Cnr Auckland & Laman Street, Cooks Hill. (W. Hill & Son, 1892).
3 pm: Christ Church Anglican Cathedral, Church Street, Newcastle. (Norman & Beard, 1904).

The Sunday Live! broadcast on this day comes from the University of Newcastle Conservatorium Concert Hall, featuring Peter Guy (Organ) and Linda Walsh (Oboe). The program will include works for organ and oboe by Krebs, Hertel and Franck, as well as solo organ works by Buxtehude, SS Wesley, Jeanne Demessieux, Pietro Yon and Franck.
