DATE: Monday 28th May 6pm to 10pm
All pieces are to be played without repeats, unless otherwise stated and will include manuals
and pedals unless otherwise stated. Only ONE piece is to be played in each section except in
the Championships. The organ installed at the venue is the only instrument being used for this
category. Practice time may be arranged directly with the Hall Supervisor at Pittwater House
(Tel 9981 4400). Practice time prior to the competition is available from 3.30pm.
Please note: that this year we have decided to restrict competition to students
under 20 years old
BAROQUE SECTION (PRE 1750)
Entry Fee: $10 - Time limit: 8 minutes

ROMANTIC/MODERN SECTION

Appropriate number of verses must be played with changes in registration and
optional harmonising in final verse(s) and/or improvisations between verses.

ORGAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
Please note competitors must enter and perform in at least one of the sections 0801 to
0806 (inclusive) to qualify for prizes in the Organ Championship sections below.
O809 JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP:15 years and under, own choice of two contrasting
pieces (first prize $150, Time limit: 10 minutes, Entry Fee: $10)
O810 SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP:16 years and under 19 years, own choice of two
contrasting pieces or one major organ work with at least two movements (first prize
donated by Mr Rex Morgan, AM, MBE) $300, Time limit: 10 minutes, Entry Fee: $10)
