June 9, King's Birthday Holiday Monday

KING'S BIRTHDAY ORGAN RAMBLE

TryBooking link:  https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1412741

The Organ Music Society of Sydney is very excited to be able to finally announce the details of our Diamond Jubilee Organ Ramble to be held on The King's Birthday Public holiday Monday 9.6.25. Members will have the unique opportunity to try out both the organs of St Andrew's Cathedral and the Sydney Town Hall!!

The itinerary will be as follows:

10am-12noon visit to St Andrew's Anglican Cathedral, cnr George & Bathurst Streets.

PLEASE MEET NO LATER THAN 9.50am at the Main northern door of St Andrew's Cathedral facing Sydney Square. Our host is Sam Giddy, Secretary of the OMSS and Assistant Organist at St Andrew's Cathedral

Those who may have already booked tickets to the concert at the Sydney Town Hall at 12.30pm played by Titus Grenyer will attend that. Apparently it's 'sold out' but it may be possible to obtain tickets on the day if some patrons don't turn up as has happened previously.

Then please have lunch locally.

2.30pm visit to the Sydney Town Hall, cnr George & Druitt Streets.

PLEASE MEET ON THE FRONT STAIRS OF THE TOWN HALL NO LATER THAN 2.20pm. Our host is Peter Jewkes, the Organbuilder who maintains the Town Hall organ and Vice-President of the OMSS.

This event will be free and is open exclusively to current members of the OMSS. We have made an exception that young people below the age of 18 who may wish to play can invite their families as well. Participants must be registered through this trybooking link in advance to gain admittance and indicate whether they seek to play on the day. There will be console stewards to organise the playing schedule on the day.
