The Sydney Consort welcomes all for the new music series - The Organ Recital. The early music group has been for years the resident ensemble at St Augustine's Catholic Church in Balmain, promoting a new series for Sydney audiences to explore the beauty of the historical pipe organ. The venue has superb acoustic and located in the friendly suburb of Balmain, as well as outstanding performers (both international and local) with an interesting organ repertoire. On Friday, 19th September the first concert of the series will be presented by the extraordinary organist from Denmark - Ms Merethe Lammert Køhl Hansen. The recital features music by JS Bach, Buxtehude, Gade, Lorentzen and will also include one of the famous works in the organ repertoire - Adagio by Albinoni/Giazotto.
