Young Performer of the Year Award
Final 2013
In 2011 Judy Deacon - Young Virtuoso Coordinator - made it possible for Organ be to added to the list of instruments for the award. Previously this had not been possible as finals were held in venues which had no organ. This year the NSW Premier's Office has supported the event to be held at the Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney Conservatorium. The finalists are Antonia Berg (Flute) Paul Cheung (Piano) Grace Clifford (Violin) and Jonathon Ramsay (Euphonium).
We have two young organists, Jonathan Chan and Marko Sever, who will be guest artists.
This will prove to be a very exciting and pleasurable evening. We really need to see as many members there to give Judy the support to continue her endless endeavour of bringing the organ to the listening community and in giving our young performers an opportunity to be a part of this award.
Guest of Honour - Gabrielle Upton MP,
Parliamentary Secretary for Tertiary Education and Skills
Award Presentation - Fine Music 102.5 Patron, Simon Tedeschi
