Notes from the organizer: Kevin Clancy.
The morning has two historic organs restored in 2010 & 2009 respectively. The afternoon has two organs built around a similar time (1929 & 1927).Your support in attending the ramble will ensure interest in the pipe organ for future generations in the region visited.

This organ was the last built by T C Edwards in 1943. For many years the
Organ was played in services by Peter Rowe.

Built in 1905 Fincham & Son for St John's Presbyterian Church,
Wahroonga. Installed in new Wahroonga Church 1929 by Hill Norman &
Beard with the addition of Harmonic Flute 4 to Great. Installed in the
Present location 1961 with partial restoration by Pitchford & Garside in
1983. Partly restored by Peter Jewkes in 2009.

Swell: Violin Diapason 8, Gedact 8, Gamba 8 Oboe 8, Octave 4.

The organs as listed above are very well maintained and regularly tuned as of late July, 2011. A special bonus for the day is that our committee has agreed to provide free morning and afternoon tea. (Lunch at own expense.) Please bring your favorite music to explore their creative possibilities. See you there on the day.
