St Columba's Uniting (Presbyterian) Church
cnr. Ocean & Forth Street, Woollahra

1891-92 Charles Richardson. Reb. 1929 S.T. Noad, (2/15 tub.pn.)

Designed by the architects Sulman & Power, the case of this organ is in Romanesque style and of striking appearance. Square towers of pipes to either side are topped by large wooden crowns, and the polished kauri case is enhanced by display pipes painted in light grey, with mid-brown and gold decoration. According to the English journal Musical Opinion and Music Trade Review, the organ was built by W.E. Richardson (except for the case). The organ remains in almost its original state. S.T. Noad replaced the action with a tubular-pneumatic system in c. 1929 and added a Clarionet to the Great.
