IAN ALEXANDER NEIL ARMSTRONG 

19 June 1940 – 21 July 2026

It is my sad duty to inform you that Ian Armstrong passed away 

last Tuesday evening, 21 July, at Bethel Lodge Aged Care Home in Ashfield.

In accordance with Ian's wishes, 
his funeral will be held at the church he attended regularly,
Christ Church St Laurence, 
812 George Street, Sydney 
(just off Railway Square, in front of Central Station)

The service will be a Requiem Mass, commencing at 
10 am on Saturday, 1 August,
conducted by the Rector of Christ Church St Laurence, the Reverend Dr Daniels Dries.

Following the service, Ian's mortal remains will be taken to 

Rookwood Catholic Cemetery for interment beside those of his wife, Simone.

The graveside service, conducted by Fr Daniel, is scheduled for 
12 noon in Lawn 4 of the Rookwood Catholic Cemetery

Following the short graveside service, we will move to the nearby
Mary, Mother of Mercy, Condolence Lounge, 
for refreshments, where we can share our memories of Ian.
